Standard 'dolly' mopheads with stayflat bands make for efficient mopping in all hygiene sensitive areas. They are hard wearing and machine washable and can be used in conjunction with the standard mop bucket with built in press wringer. All are available in the standard hygiene colours of Yellow, Blue, Red and Green to assist with cross contamination issues and assist in enforcing strict hygiene standards.

Kentucky mopping systems for larger floor areas are also available in conjunction with the 25 Litre Mopping system with gear press wringer. All mop heads are colour code tagged to aid hygiene standards.

Strong and lightweight aluminium handles, also colour coded are available to fit all mop heads and clips. 

COLOUR CODING STANDARD PRACTICE IN CATERING BUSINESSES:

  • YELLOW is suggested for kitchens and food and drink preparation areas. Food preparation areas pose a high risk of cross-contamination particularly from uncooked meat and fish. Therefore it’s crucial to control the use of cleaning products in these areas. 
  • BLUE is suggested for low-risk areas, such as front of house bar & restaurant areas, offices and hallways, as well as for general dusting or polishing. As there is usually a lower degree of bacterial contamination in these areas compared to other areas, blue coded cleaning products can be used across a wider range of surfaces. 
  • GREEN is suggested for Public Areas, excluding toilet washrooms. 
  • RED is suggested for areas such as urinals, toilet washrooms and washroom floors. As these areas are universally regarded to have a high-risk of  bacterial contamination. By using only red-coded cleaning products such as cloths, mops, buckets and also gloves to clean them, the risk of spreading bacteria outside of these areas are reduced.
